Independence Animal Hospital serves the Independence, KS area for all pet-related needs. The hospital offers a full-service mixed-animal facility including routine appointments, surgical cases, and acupuncture services. In-house capabilities include digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, cold laser, indoor stocks, outdoor pen area, hydraulic tilt chute, and an OB chute. Our team consists of experienced credentialed technicians, assistants, and a practice manager.
Position Purpose
Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program provides hands-on experience and mentorship for 1st-4th year veterinary students to prepare them for their first day in practice. Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland covers the cost of lodging if needed. The length of the externship is flexible and we support preceptorship documentation.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
- Must be able to provide student PLIT
