DVM Student Externship - [Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital]
Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital enthusiastically delivers quality care to clients in Houma, Louisiana. Recognizing that each pet is unique, our team delivers personalized care to fit various needs that arise. We treat dogs, cats, and occasionally guinea pigs, hamsters, and birds. The clinic provides progressive medicine technology in-house including anesthesia, lab work, laser surgery and therapy, emergency services, and critical care, as well as routine services such as dentistry, boarding, and preventative care. We also offer an in-clinic pharmacy with nutritional counseling to treat every aspect of animal wellbeing.
About the role
We’re looking for 1st through 4th year veterinary students who are compassionate, team players, and strong communicators. This externship is designed for students looking to enhance their education through real-world experiences.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience in a clinical veterinary setting
- Assist with patient care and treatment under supervision
- Participate in diagnostic and preventative care procedures
- Engage in mentorship and learning opportunities with veterinary professionals
Qualifications
- Must be an active veterinary student from an AVMA-accredited institution
