DVM Student Externship - [Central Hospital For Animals – Herrin]

About the Role

We are a well-established, small animal hospital with exotics, operating across 4 busy locations in Southern Illinois. We're seeking a Full Time DVM for our Marion and Herrin locations. With over 250 combined years of experience, our team includes 6 veterinarians and 35 highly qualified support staff, providing a robust support system for both seasoned and new graduate DVMs. Our main hospital is in Herrin, IL, with satellite locations in Carbondale, Marion, and Harrisburg. All locations are fully equipped with a pharmacy, laboratory, and surgical suites.

Responsibilities

This is an externship opportunity for 1st through 4th-year veterinary students. As an extern, you will gain real-world experience in a supportive environment, working alongside experienced veterinarians and staff to enhance your education and skills.

Qualifications

• Must be an active veterinary student from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Compassionate, team player with strong communication skills.
• Eager to enhance education through hands-on experience.
