DVM Student Externship - [Central Hospital For Animals – Carbondale]

Job Summary

We are seeking a Full Time DVM to join our team at our Marion and Herrin locations. We are a small animal hospital with exotics, offering comprehensive medical and surgical care. Our team includes 6 veterinarians and 35 support staff.

About the Role

We operate Monday through Saturday with flexible scheduling and a pro-sal compensation model. We offer full benefits and are part of a team with over 250 combined years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of sick and injured animals
• Performing surgeries under the supervision of licensed veterinarians
• Assisting with routine check-ups and preventative care
• Handling administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Current DVM degree from an AVMA accredited institution
• Valid Illinois Veterinary Practice License
• Experience with small animal medicine and surgery preferred
