Dutch Wonderland Inn Lead Lifeguard

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations in assigned areas
• Assist with administrative duties, including team scheduling and timekeeping
• Delight guests by providing courteous assistance and ensuring their safety
• Oversee daily morning checks for water attractions and waterslide testing
• Respond to radio calls and log down time on rides
• Render first-aid to guests or team members as needed
• Handle operation-related guest concerns and escalate major issues
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in park areas
• Perform emergency response and crowd control

Requirements

• At least 16 years old to comply with PA Child Labor Laws
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Demonstrated ability to perform swim tests and water rescues
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical requirements including swimming, retrieving objects, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception

Qualifications

• No formal education requirements, but 1+ year of previous lifeguard experience preferred
• Must successfully complete Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus
