Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Technician

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to provide splinting services, fitting braces, and applying other DME for the treatment of patients.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in applying and fitting splints, braces, and a variety of Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
• Remove sutures and provide other wound care as applicable
• Educate patients on the use and care of DME such as braces, crutches, canes, walkers and other equipment and ensure patients sign Proof of Delivery (POD)
• Document the care administered and charges into the patient’s electronic medical record
• Set-up, prepare and maintain DME and supply rooms
• Room patients when needed to maintain clinic flow

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of customer service principles
• HIPAA regulations and procedures
