About the Role
We are seeking certified flight instructors (CFI, CFII, MEI) and ground instructors to provide high-quality flight and ground training for private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and advanced ratings. Positions include full-time, part-time, and independent contractor opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide flight instruction for private pilot (PPL), instrument rating (IR), commercial pilot (CPL), multi-engine (ME), and advanced ratings.
- Conduct ground school and one-on-one ground instruction for private, instrument, and commercial pilot candidates.
- Prepare students for checkrides, including stage checks and FAA practical tests.
- Teach specialized courses such as tailwheel, high-performance, complex, and mountain flying.
- Offer flight reviews (BFR), instrument proficiency checks (IPC), and recurrent training.
- Develop and deliver ground courses for CFII and other advanced certifications.
- Provide personalized, results-driven training tailored to individual student needs.
- Instruct in single-pilot IFR operations and multi-engine aircraft.
- Serve as a Gold Seal flight instructor for PPL, instrument, and checkride prep.
Requirements
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate; CFII and/or MEI preferred.
- Current FAA medical certificate (Class III or higher).
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, aeronautical decision-making, and risk management.
- Experience with tailwheel, high-performance, complex, and mountain flying (where applicable).
- Ability to instruct in single-pilot IFR and multi-engine operations.
- Ground instructor (AGI/IGI) certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Passion for aviation safety and student success.
Qualifications
- Minimum 250+ hours of flight instruction experience (varies by location).
- Experience with glass cockpit aircraft and modern avionics.
- ATP certificate preferred for advanced training roles.
- Previous experience as a Gold Seal instructor or checkride prep specialist is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
