Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations Managers to ensure all SLAs are met as outlined in the Client Scope and Statement of Work
- Manage all internal and external processes and communication related to loan reviews and transactions for applicable Clients
- Ensure all internal hand-offs are completed within timelines
- Direct communication of progress and results to Clients
- Produce and deliver all reporting to Clients and Counterparties as defined in the Statement of Work or service level agreement
- Able to understand Due Diligence business needs, Rating Agency, and Regulatory guidance, and adjust scope and review process if deficiencies are identified
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of all RA guidance and regulatory updates, and ensure reviews/scope are aligned with current RA and regulatory requirements
- Effectively communicate any client feedback to applicable internal parties
- Contribute to process and system updates; look for ways to improve processes to meet client expectations
- Oversee/manage all reporting deliveries for applicable clients/counterparties, including reliance letter and securitization reporting
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and experience in managing the post-closing Due Diligence process
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, economics, or related field, or recent experience in Third Party Due Diligence Transaction Management
- 1-5 years of Secondary Market/RMBS Due Diligence management experience
- Expert knowledge of new origination mortgage loan Due Diligence methodology and requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively facilitate meetings, develop management reports, and report out the monthly results to senior management
- Ability to research, evaluate, and interpret RMBS, SFA, and securitization reporting
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to interface confidently with clients and to influence others within the organization to drive results
