About the role
Join Terracon’s Nebraska Region as a Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist on our environmental Due Diligence team. This position supports projects including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, limited site investigations, brownfield redevelopment, and related consulting assignments. You’ll conduct field work, collect and evaluate soil and groundwater samples, research public records, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and prepare technical reports. Ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of field work, technical problem-solving, client service, and collaboration with experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Follow Terracon’s safety rules, guidelines, and standards; participate in pre-task planning; and communicate safety questions or concerns promptly.
- Maintain quality standards across projects while developing experience in site assessment, field data collection, sampling, technical documentation, and client communication.
- Consult with other technical professionals and supervisors on routine and complex projects.
- Perform site visits and field observations, implement project-specific technical requirements, evaluate laboratory and field data, prepare proposals and reports for senior review, and participate in client and project team meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or related field and up to 1 year of experience.
- Strong organization and technical writing skills.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable history.
- Ability to travel out of town as needed.
