Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence team (Wallbrook) at Anthesis is seeking a highly motivated researcher to join a team of investigative and due diligence researchers based in our New York office. The team provides leading global intelligence and compliance risk services, specializing in enhanced due diligence investigations. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth online and open source research into companies and individuals, analyze reputational, compliance, and environmental/social/governance risks, and write concise, clear reports for senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth online and open source research into companies and individuals
- Provide all-source analysis of reputational, compliance, and environmental/social/governance risks
- Retrieve and review court documents, regulatory filings, social media disclosures, and other online sources for indications of reputational risks/lack of probity
- Write concise, cogent summary reports
- Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management on research findings
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines, often 48 hours or less, while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Requirements & Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 0-3 years research experience in an academic or professional setting
- Impeccable writing skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university
- Able to articulate complex findings in a clear and concise manner for a sophisticated audience
- Internet research skills
- Knowledge of Boolean searching and how to find information that may not be readily apparent or which the target has actively concealed
- Time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing projects under tight deadlines
- A basic understanding and interest in due diligence and compliance risks – experience in the sector is highly desirable
- Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to come onsite to our New York City office to work in a hybrid capacity
