DUAL SPECIALTY CATH LAB/NEURO RAD TECH

JOB SUMMARY

Performs a variety of technician functions required for the Cath Lab, or Special Procedures, and Neuro Intervention under the direction of the Cardiologist, and/or Radiologist, Neurologist and the supervision of the Manager – Vascular Imaging.

Requires independent judgment, integrity, and initiative.

EDUCATION

Must be licensed in Radiologic Technology and must be registered in ARRT.

EXPERIENCE

• Must be registry eligible or enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Must meet requirements of ARDMS or CCI to obtain registry eligible status, usually 2 years experience or a graduate from an accredited school of technology.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Exposure to radiological hazards-occupational levels.
• Normal hospital environment.
• Close eye work.
• Hearing within normal range.
• Operates x-ray equipment, computer, life support, equipment, film processing equipment.
• Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors.
• Distinguish smells.
• Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity.
• Closed visual acuity to distinguish color changes and ability to see in dark environment.
• Hearing of normal and soft tones.
• Lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Carrying up to 40 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
