Dual Rate - Dealer/Assistant Shift Manager

About the role
- Maintain game security and integrity in designated area to ensure that they are conducted in a manner consistent with State Gaming Commission regulations and the policies and procedures of Ameristar Casino.
- Supervisory and hourly team member responsibilities.
- Foster and maintain positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interface with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship.
- Monitor pit and gaming equipment to ensure proper working order and conditions and notify Casino Managers of needed repairs.
- Assist guests in playing and ensure adherence to established rules, policies, and procedures.
- Deal a combination of Blackjack, Carnival Games, and other specialty games such as Roulette and Craps.
- Recommend changes to operation procedures to enhance overall effectiveness.
Requirements
- One to three years’ experience as a Dealer in lieu of high school diploma and/or College Degree.
- Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
- Basic math skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and coaching skills.
- Ability to use diplomacy and tact to build constructive and effective relationships, including during high-tension situations.
