Dual Diagnosis - RN

About the Role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. This individual will utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions. The RN will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel on assigned shift.
• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, planning, and care interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• Observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing required; BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on assigned area.

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive actions.
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
• Continuous need for clear speaking and hearing sensitivity in conversations (phone or in-person).
• Continuous visual acuity at close and distant ranges.
• Work is indoors, protected from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Minimal noise levels; frequent computer work.
• Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock, infectious diseases, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
