Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of residents in the Community, as well as effectively communicating with team members, families, physicians, and allied health professionals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure provision of quality nursing care in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements based on acuity of residents
- Make daily rounds to each resident to ascertain the resident’s condition and comfort
- Follow safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety
- Follows infection control guidelines
- Initiate procedures to protect residents from injury and infection
- Assess and evaluate resident change of condition and institute appropriate interventions
- Communicate with the Physician as indicated by resident needs or status and assure follow through; maintain hand-off communications with oncoming shift regarding resident care needs
- Oversees direct care staff and ensures staff complete tasks and cares as assigned
Requirements
- Schooling: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of [State]
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to handle stressful situations
