DSST Montview High School: Baseball Assistant Coach (Volunteer)
About the role
The DSST Sports Coach position at Montview High School is a seasonal, temporary, and non-benefited role. The position involves coaching girls basketball varsity during the season from February 23rd to May 12th. The coach will live and model the school's core values, foster a positive and inclusive team environment, and design and implement comprehensive training programs.
Responsibilities
- Liv[e] and model the school’s core values with colleagues, students, parents, officials, fans, and the larger community
- Reinforce the school’s core values, guiding philosophy, rules, and school spirit
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs and goals of individual athletes and the team
- Conduct regular training sessions, focusing on technique, strength, endurance, and skill development
- Organize and oversee team practices, competitions, and events, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols
- All coaches must be willing and able to be trained and approved to drive our activity buses

- A knowledge of sports nutrition and injury prevention
