DSP Overnight Direct Support Professional - 16hrs
About the role
Direct Support Professionals/Overnight Residential Counselors (DSPs) assist and/or supervise individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in personal care areas such as bathing and toileting, participate in cleaning, cooking, and life-skills activities, administer or assist with medication, and ensure the health, safety, and welfare of residents in group homes. DSPs communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and residents, drive residents to day programs and community activities using agency vehicles, document services provided daily, and engage residents in fun community-based activities.
Schedule
- Part-time: 16 hours (Friday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM and Saturday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Full-time positions (30+ hours per week) available
Pay rates: $20.49 per hour (Monday–Friday) and $21.49 per hour (shifts beginning 11 PM Friday to 11 PM Sunday).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid (non-provisional) driver’s license
- Ability to meet physical requirements of CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures
- Must pass criminal background check, DMV check, fingerprinting, pre-employment physical, and drug test
- Experience with ID/DD population is a plus
- Motivated to work as part of a team focused on residents’ best interests
All staff must attend a monthly staff meeting; waivers are available for conflicts due to secondary employment or school (documentation required).
