Job Responsibilities
Direct Support Professionals:
- Assist and/or supervise in activities of daily living skills
- Administer or assist with prescribed medication
- Light housekeeping
- Auxiliary transportation
- Auxiliary in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
- Data entry using Therap (EHR)
- Auxiliary in the pursuit of recreational, social, and community activities based on residents' preferences and individual plans
Group Home Managers and Assistant Managers:
- Supervise all aspects of the group home
- Plan and conduct staff meetings and trainings
- Conduct interviews and observations, provide feedback, and complete employee evaluations
- Share on-call responsibilities with the group home Assistant Manager
- Uphold agency and licensing regulations
- Create staff scheduling
- Auxiliary in scheduling doctors' appointments
- Auxiliary in program and client finances
- Assist with activities of daily living skills
- Administer or assist with prescribed medication
- Light housekeeping
- Auxiliary in transportation
- Auxiliary in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
- Data entry using Therap (EHR)
- Auxiliary in the pursuit of recreational, social, and community activities based on residents' preferences and individual plans
LPNs:
- Administer medication and medical treatments as required and complete documentation
- Auxiliary in accompanying individuals to and from medical appointments and activities
- Auxiliary in activities of daily living as needed
- Data entry using Therap (EHR)
- Implement medically prescribed diets and exercise programs
- Complete documentation necessary for program operations promptly
Job Requirements
Direct Support Professionals:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license in good standing and insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
- Strong communication skills
Group Home Managers and Assistant Managers:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience as a supervisor and working with people with disabilities
- A valid driver's license in good standing and insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
LPNs:
- A valid NJ State Practical Nurse License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license in good standing and insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
- Experience with G-tube feedings
- Experience working with intellectual, developmental, and related disabilities preferred
