DSP - Job Coach - Full-Time

About the role

As a Job Coach, you will make a huge impact on someone’s life by assisting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities with overcoming challenges to sustaining community employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with learning job tasks
• Create customized strategies to meet their employer’s expectations
• Assist with communicating with their employer
• Document about interactions and supports provided
• Assist with developing goals to assist in reaching their greatest potential and becoming as independent as possible
• Better the community workforce by promoting inclusion and diversity through professionalism, positivity, and respect
• Complete electronic documentation within 24 hours of services completed and effectively describe services provided to meet HCBS expectations

Requirements

• 18 years of age
• Minimum Education of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance
• Basic computer skills
• Good written and verbal communications
• Previous experience working with individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities preferred
• Background check

Schedule

Shift times will vary, depending on our individuals’ coaching needs and employers’ needs. Shift times may include a combination of days, evenings, and weekend hours.
