DSP Independent Contractor Indian Trail (JR)

About the role

InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We hire Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support. We are seeking a DSP (Independent Contractor) for a young male individual with developmental disabilities in Indian Trail, NC 28079 (Union County). The role involves providing Community Living and Support Services for approximately 15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during non‑school weeks.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration.
• Help individual develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
• Independent Contractor position (receives 1099 tax form, uses third‑party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits). Must cover state‑required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.

Pay

Pay rate: $20.35 per hour.

Schedule

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 pm to 8 pm (approximately 15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during non‑school weeks).
