DSP Hiring Event Manhattan (ICF)

About the role

AHRC New York City is holding a hiring event with on-the-spot job offers for Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) at their Manhattan ICF residence. PAY RATE: $20.60 - 20.96 per hour depending on driving status. This position comes with a comprehensive benefit package which includes FREE medical insurance!

Responsibilities

• The oversight of all safety and health considerations
• Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
• Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
• Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.

Requirements

• Personal or professional experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred
• Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills
• Patience is a MUST!
• Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings
• Ability to use a computer for data entry
• High school education/GED, highly preferred

Pay

$20.60 - 20.96 per hour depending on driving status

Schedule

• Full-time 40hrs: 3pm-11pm & 2pm-10pm
• Part-Time 30hrs: 10pm-8am, Friday to Sunday
