DSP Engineer (Space)

Responsibilities
- Work with teams including software, firmware, systems, and test engineers to support the development of space applications.
- Develop and optimize FPGA and DSP algorithms to meet rigorous performance system requirements for fixed hardware solutions.
- Design and implement software applications to interface and validate FPGA and DSP solutions.
- Optimize FPGA and DSP code for efficiency and performance on target platform.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of algorithms to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to system specifications.
- Work with hardware and software engineers to integrate FPGA and DSP solutions into larger system architectures, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all algorithm designs and implementation processes.
- Debug complex Digital systems and resolve issues during the integration and testing phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of communication systems digital signal processing experience.
- Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink for algorithm design, simulation, and verification.
- Proven experience with the architectural definition, design, and integration.
- Experience with software development in C/C++.
- Knowledge of RF, modem, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with channelization filter bank architectures.
- Experience with FIR filter design, windowing methods, and polyphase decomposition.
- Experience with Doppler radar signal processing and range/velocity estimation.
- Experience with FPGA digital implementation.
- Experience with hardware testing.
- Familiarity with AI Agents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- US citizenship.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $198,500.00 - $314,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area, and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is $247,000.00 - $370,000.00 / annually. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
