DSP
About the Role
Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs. Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement. Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment. Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development. Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly. Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members. Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed. Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supports
Pay
Fixed Starting Rate: $18.50/hr
Schedule
Variety of available schedules. All persons in this position should be prepared to work some weekend shifts and holidays.
