About the role
You'll work directly with people in need of assistance, and/or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs
- Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
- Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development
- Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly
- Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members
- Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supports

Pay & schedule
- Fixed Starting Rate: $18.50/hr
- Variety of open schedules (All persons in this position should be prepared to work some weekends and holidays)
