DSP

About the Role

Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development
• Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Experience, training, or transferable skills that support success in a direct support role
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supports

Pay & Benefits

• Fixed starting rate: $18.50/hr. awake shifts / $11.41/hr. asleep shifts
• Generous retention bonus: May be eligible for up to $2000 bonus
