DSNP Clinical Pharmacist

For our client, we are seeking a DSNP Clinical Pharmacist to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will serve as a clinical pharmacy expert supporting Medicare and Medicaid populations, with a focus on ensuring medication use aligns with benefit design, legal requirements, and quality standards. The pharmacist will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and internal stakeholders to improve care plans, support cost containment, and strengthen pharmacy program outcomes. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $116,900 – $187,100 annually Responsibilities Serve as a Medicare and Medicaid clinical pharmacy expert for interdisciplinary teams Collaborate with departments and physicians to create effective care plans Ensure medication dispensing meets benefit design and legal requirements Assist in building cost-efficient pharmacy programs Review physician prescriptions for therapy appropriateness and formulary compliance Help develop educational resources for physicians Analyze prescription data for quality improvement opportunities Educate staff on pharmacy-related policies and procedures Qualifications Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Rhode Island 3-5 years of clinical pharmacy experience Knowledge of formularies, rebate contracts, and pharmacy benefit design Familiarity with cost containment and utilization review strategies Strong decision-making abilities Excellent communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Benefits Flexible work schedules including in-office, hybrid, and remote options Support for associate well-being and work/life balance Convenient office location near public transit in downtown Providence Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
