DSI Territory Sales Representative - Knoxville, TN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Trips to customer locations to present company products, services, and pricing information professionally
• Sets up appropriate paperwork for management, including expense reports and call reports
• Maintains records for sales forecasts, territory potential, workload analysis, call programs, and delivery/sales routes
• Collects and reports competitive information to management
• Attends training activities and trade shows to present information about company products and services
• Proposes additions to or modifications of the company's product offerings
• Provides detailed product information to customers, including functionality, performance, and pricing
• Assists customers in placing accurate orders
• Uses advanced product knowledge to assist customers
• Handles customer complaints and issues promptly, collaborating with management
• Assists in training other sales representatives
• Maintains a tidy work area
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging customers in discussions about products and purchases, and developing business relationships with new customers
• Ability to influence through knowledge and expertise
• Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information
• Effective communication skills, able to present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group settings
• Problem-solving skills, able to handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as per the insurer's guidelines; must meet this requirement during annual insurance reviews
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), with a bachelor’s degree preferred
• Three to five years of experience in the wholesale water industry preferred

• Frequently uses hands to finger, handle, or feel and to reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision
• Regularly stands and walks, and occasionally climbs or balances
• Must have regular, reliable attendance and be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
