About the role

Sid Grinker Restoration is seeking a detail-oriented drywall finisher to join our team. As a drywall finisher, your duties will include sealing joints, repairing cracks, and smoothing imperfections on walls and ceilings to create surfaces that are suitable for final treatment. You should also ensure that all supplies are used safely. To be successful as a drywall finisher, you should be able to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high quality of work. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation, repair, and finishing. The Drywaller will be responsible for ensuring that all drywall work is completed to the highest standards and meets the needs of our clients. Ultimately, an excellent drywall finisher will utilize sound techniques to produce high-quality drywall finishes on time.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and finish drywall in residential and commercial properties
• Measure and cut drywall to fit specific areas
• Apply tape and joint compound to seams and corners
• Sand and smooth out surfaces to ensure a seamless finish
• Work with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in drywall installation, repair, and finishing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
• Good knowledge of the tools, materials, and methods used in drywall and ceiling finishing
• Ability to interpret construction blueprints
• Knowledge of the applicable safety guidelines
• Basic math skills
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Physically fit and able to work long hours
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of experience as a drywall finisher
• Valid driver’s license

Physical and Mental Demands

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Working Environment

Employees will be exposed to hot, cold, and adverse weather conditions on occasion. Most times will be spent outside and inside of buildings and offices on our main campus. Some working environments may be hazardous (appropriate PPE will be available and required) and will require great care to ensure safety.
