About the role

Home Building Team Members perform manufacturing production operations assigned to their team in the home-building process. The position follows standard production methods and safe work habits to ensure efficiency and safety. Teams ensure homes meet sales orders, prints, specifications, and building codes while maintaining high-quality standards in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits and observe all relevant OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to quality standards while achieving productivity objectives.
• Serve as a good steward of company assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting maintenance needs, and keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
• Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator in planning manufacturing activities by communicating material shortages, tool maintenance needs, and quality or productivity issues.
• Meet attendance requirements, including punctuality and adherence to division rules.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Continuously see, hear, and speak.
• Walk on uneven surfaces, stand, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
• Continuous use of wrists and hands.
• Use of pneumatic tools, hand tools, and saws, depending on position.
• Wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety shoes (composite or steel toe), safety glasses, gloves, and face mask when needed.
• Lift 20-50 lbs, depending on position.
• Work in an indoor, non-climate-controlled environment (hot and cold).
• Tolerate exposure to loud noises, machinery, dust, and chemicals.
• Work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with minimal overtime or Saturday work as needed.
• Communicate efficiently and clearly with management and team members.
• Be versatile and willing to transfer into different departments when necessary.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is greatly desired.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify participation).

Pay

• $21/hr. starting base pay for all positions, plus production bonus after four weeks.
• Current average total pay: $29/hr.
• Potential for base pay to increase to $22–$24/hr. based on position.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
• No swing shifts or graveyard shifts.
• Year-round employment working indoors, out of direct sun and snow.
• Minimal overtime or Saturday work as needed.
