Dryer Controls Operator

Shift Schedule

3rd shift, Sunday‑Thursday 11 pm‑7 am

Pay

$22‑$24 per hour plus a $2.50 shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust pellet mills and regulate dryer inlet and outlet temperatures per specifications, monitoring bin levels.
• Regulate material mix to achieve optimal pellet moisture and density, communicating the ratio of fresh/old sawdust and wet/dry shavings.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, spot fires, and hot bearings.
• Maintain pellet mill feed rates and adjust or change pellet mill rolls/dies as needed.
• Complete a daily report detailing temperature readings, dried material moisture, density checks, average values for the day, total mill hours, natural gas hours, and estimated tonnage.
• Perform additional accountabilities as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1‑2 years production experience in an industrial setting (highly preferred).
• Working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
• Process controls experience a plus.
• Ability to obtain company forklift certification.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lb waist‑high and stand up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to use catwalks and climb ladders up to 60 ft, following safety standards.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Pre‑employment background check and drug screen required.
