Pay
- Starts at $17.00/hr
- Bonuses and additional commission based on shop performance

Responsibilities
- Support one surrounding Drybar shop and its team members with auditions, training, product understanding, retail supplies, shop compliance, morale, problem-solving, and task execution.
- Manage service quality by upholding Drybar standards, including quality control checks, providing feedback to shop management, and reporting observations to senior leadership.
- Facilitate consistent and effective training for all shop team members in accordance with Drybar standards.
- Conduct and lead orientation training for new hires, covering blowout techniques, paperwork, onboarding, services offered, and client experience (3 days for new hires, 1-2 days for rehires).
- Identify ongoing training and developmental needs for stylists, recommend areas for improvement, and recognize successes.
- Provide in-person shop support, completing a minimum of 20 blowouts weekly to lead by example and increase client count.
- Conduct stylist interviews and auditions to assess technical capabilities.
- Train team members on new products, tools, and promotions, ensuring clear communication of special offers and services.
- Serve as a leadership team member, assisting in managing shift leads, stylists, and bartenders while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures, federal/state/local regulations, health department, and cosmetology board standards.
- Adhere to Drybar’s Timekeeping Policy, reporting all time worked for self and others accurately.
- Monitor shop inventory, assist with stocking products, tools, and supplies, and support inventory management as directed.
- Provide staff with weekly updates on styling services, product launches, and other relevant information.
- Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.
- Provide sales and training feedback, education results, and other metrics to gauge training effectiveness.
- Participate in leadership conference calls to address business needs around technical education and sales.
- Deliver ongoing advanced education to assigned shops, ensuring stylists meet the 45-minute blowout requirement.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries within 8 working hours.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and team-building events.
- Follow and comply with the Company’s Employee Handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a hairstylist or cosmetologist trainer/educator in a salon, barber shop, or spa (exceptions considered for highly motivated candidates).
- Current and valid state Cosmetology license.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to foster a positive, learning-focused culture.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of handling both positive and challenging situations effectively.
- Proven track record of stellar customer service.
- Ability to multitask and pivot with finesse in difficult moments.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years’ experience as a stylist.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-unit/multi-state retail operations and consumer products organizations.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to adjust teaching techniques to inspire and motivate diverse audiences with varying learning styles.
- Knowledge of methods to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and execute instructions fluently in English.
