About the role

We are looking for a Shift Lead / Cosmetologist who has a current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying. You will supervise shop staff, lead the client experience, manage team responsibilities, monitor inventory, and train new bartenders and stylists.

Responsibilities

• Perform shampoo, blow-dry, and hair styling & finishing services, completing a blowout in under 45 minutes.
• Supervise shop staff (Bartenders & Stylists) on assigned shifts.
• Lead client experience from check-in to check-out, ensuring Drybar standards are upheld.
• Assign clients to stylists, delegate tasks to bartenders and stylists, and execute meal period and break schedules.
• Monitor shop inventory, check back bar and retail supplies, and place orders as needed.
• Train new bartenders on using Booker and Drybar’s 10 core values.
• Ensure stylists complete blowouts in under 45 minutes.
• Implement problem-solving strategies and maintain awareness of team and client needs.
• Ensure compliance with all company procedures, policies, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Follow Drybar’s timekeeping policy and supervisor policy addendum, reporting all time worked for self and others accurately.

Requirements

• Current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying (cosmetology students may apply but must have a valid license to work as a hairstylist).
• Strong shampoo, blow-dry, and hair styling & finishing skills.
• Ability to complete a blowout in under 45 minutes.
• Desire to provide exceptional service to clients and staff.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.

Pay

Competitive hourly wages starting at $19.50 per hour, plus tips, retail & productivity bonuses, and additional incentives:

• $1.50 for every add-on performed.
• $3 extra for each blowout after 20 blowouts in a shift.
• Up to $10 for every membership sold.
