About the role

We are looking for a Shift Lead / Cosmetologist who has a current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying. You will supervise shop staff, lead the client experience, and ensure Drybar standards are upheld.

Responsibilities

• Perform shampoo, blow-dry, and hair styling & finishing services, completing a blowout in under 45 minutes.
• Supervise shop staff (Bartenders & Stylists) on assigned shifts.
• Lead client experience from check-in to check-out, ensuring Drybar standards are met.
• Assign clients to stylists, delegate tasks to bartenders and stylists, and manage meal periods and break schedules.
• Monitor shop inventory, check back bar and retail supplies, and place orders to maintain supply levels.
• Train new bartenders on using Booker and Drybar’s 10 core values.
• Ensure stylists complete blowouts in under 45 minutes.
• Implement problem-solving strategies and maintain awareness of team and client needs.
• Communicate effectively and demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with all company procedures, policies, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Adhere to Drybar’s timekeeping policy and supervisor policy addendum, reporting all time worked accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Current and valid cosmetology license for the state of application (cosmetology students may apply but must have a valid license to work as a hairstylist).
• Strong shampoo, blow-dry, and hair styling & finishing skills.
• Ability to complete a blowout in under 45 minutes.
• Desire to provide exceptional service to both clients and staff.
• Strong communication skills and dedication to customer service.
