About the role
The Anderson School is looking for a drum teacher for a weekly Thursday afternoon, 3:00–5:00 pm lesson schedule beginning in September. Availability to sub 5:00–8:00 pm on Thursday and 9:00 am–2:00 pm on Sunday is a plus. All lessons are taught in person at our Los Gatos location. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important.
Ideally, you live in the South Bay.
Responsibilities
- Teach drum lessons to students ranging from young beginners to adults
- Instill a love for music in students to build a generation of lifelong musicians
Requirements
- Degree in music with an emphasis in drum performance or pedagogy, or equivalent experience
- At least two years of teaching experience (current music majors will be considered)
- Solid foundation in drum instruction

Pay
Starting pay is $40 per hour for a teacher with a music degree or equivalent experience, with a potential raise after a 90-day assessment period.
Schedule
- Primary: Thursday 3:00–5:00 pm
- Sub availability (a plus): Thursday 5:00–8:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am–2:00 pm
