Essential Responsibilities
- Provide crisis assessments and case management services to individuals, families, and others seeking SUD treatment services.
- Make preliminary risk assessments through phone and in-person triage.
- Facilitate inpatient and outpatient admissions to SUD treatment using a database of treatment providers.
- Schedule urgent intakes for SUD treatment and coordinate with engagement and coordination teams to facilitate client transportation to treatment.
- Ensure a seamless transition between the Engagement Center, Safe Place to Stay, or the community and the treatment provider of choice.
Eligibility Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of DSM Diagnostic Criteria and required assessment tools.
- Knowledge of behavioral codes and billing procedures, including ICD 10 Codes.
- Knowledge of ASAM and DSM-V.
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, multi-task, self-start, be motivated, and adapt to changing technology.
- Writing and interpersonal skills necessary for employment.
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and substance dependence.
- Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services), or other related field, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
- Or, Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services), or other related field and 2 years’ D&A clinical experience.
- Certification preferred.
- PA Drivers’ License.
- A high degree of ethics and completion of Act 33/34 required.
