Drop In Coach (Part-time)

We are an independent living program that houses young individuals from 18-24 years old in small efficiency-type apartments or shared-living housing throughout the Metro, Boston, Central, Northeast, and Southeast DCF regions.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the individuals we serve by “dropping in” in their independent apartment setting to help ensure compliance with program rules.
• Provide crisis management if there is a crisis during a visit to one of the individuals we serve.
• Help maintain a safe independent living apartment by providing searches for contraband that are not allowed in our programs.
• Learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to ensure the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with older youth and young adults in a mental health setting and trauma-informed care is preferred.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
• Must have an active driver’s license. Background and driving record checks will be performed.
