Job Summary

Our client, an innovative leader in unmanned aerial systems, is seeking a Drone Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Drone Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the UAS operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Based in Seattle and will include 25 travel to Phoenix, AZ
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot drone hardware and software systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and service of remote-controlled devices / drones
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across the full system stack, including physical assemblies and embedded software
  • Resolve hardware, software, and user permission issues promptly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while working independently to ensure system integrity and performance

What's Needed?

  • Experience working across mechanical/electrical systems and software environments
  • Basic engineering knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines
  • Preference for background in industrial maintenance, robotics maintenance or other mechanical technician roles
  • Proficiency with installation of sub-assemblies and assemblies using drawings or CAD files
  • Ability to perform precision work with hand tools
  • At least 2 years of troubleshooting hardware and software issues in industry or military settings

About the Role

The Drone Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting drone hardware and software systems.
