Drone Flight Instructor
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Drone Flight Instructor to lead the next generation of drone pilots. In this role, you will deliver engaging, comprehensive training programs that empower students to operate drones safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise will inspire confidence and foster a love for aviation technology, ensuring learners gain practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for success in the rapidly evolving drone industry.
About the role
This is a part-time 1099 contractor position. As classes become available that fit your expertise, our operations team will book you for sessions. Some instructors teach multiple classes a month, while others teach occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, comprehensive drone training programs
- Empower students to operate drones safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Foster practical skills and theoretical knowledge in aviation technology
- Host fun, interactive, and engaging classes
Requirements
- FAA Part 107 Certificate
- Manned aviation experience required
- 3 years of commercial sUAS experience
- Expertise in one of the following areas: sUAS for public safety, sUAS for industrial inspections, sUAS for mapping
- Own a DJI Phantom 4, Mavic 2, or Inspire 2 that students can use in class
- Available to teach weekend classes every few months in your local area
- Available and interested in traveling to and teaching weekday classes for clients
- Located within 40 miles of one of the following cities: Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Miami, FL; Atlanta, GA; Washington D.C.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience teaching
Pay
$300.00 - $600.00 per day
