Driver’s Education – Behind-the-Wheel Teachers

Job Description

The primary responsibility is to instruct students in driver’s education courses, focusing on behind-the-wheel driving skills.

• Teach students the rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and safe vehicle operation.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and practical driving evaluations.
• Ensure all driving activities are conducted safely and within legal parameters.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance and progress.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and possess a strong background in teaching or related field.

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in education or a closely related field.
• Able to pass a background check and obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing schedules.
