Driver/Yard Crew Member

Join our team of energetic, fun, customer-focused individuals at The Boat House of Lauderdale Lakes. This position is primarily stationed at our Lauderdale Lakes facility in Elkhorn, WI, with minimal travel to other locations as needed. Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and team members professionally and courteously.
• Complete assigned tasks related to servicing boats in a timely and safe manner, including:
  • Preparation for return to customers
  • Pressure washing and scraping boat bottoms
  • Washing service boats for delivery
• Immediately communicate to your manager if deadlines cannot be met.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and employees across all business units.
• Operate light small forklifts to unload transport trucks (training provided with safety protocols).
• Assist technicians as needed.
• Maintain the professional, clean appearance of the marina/yard, including public areas.
• Attend assigned meetings, follow company policies, and maintain a pleasant workplace demeanor.

Requirements

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to regularly lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to follow varied directions in multiple formats.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience with boat driving on the water.

Preferred Qualities

• Competence in executing verbal commands accurately and timely.
• Desire to learn the ins and outs of working in a service department, especially the importance of timing when customers are unable to use their boats.
• Consistently positive attitude and genuine team-player mentality.
• Dedication to learning and growing quickly.
• Ability to work on, around, and under boats while adhering to safety standards.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn forklift operation.

Pay

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
