Responsibilities

• Jockey trailers, fuel and clean trailers, and clean dock areas
• Unload and receive trailers
• Perform plant rounds and assist with trailer checks
• Visually check trucks and trailers for safety
• Cover breaks for security guards as needed
• Assist covering for other yard drivers who are out due to illness, vacation, etc.
• Perform other tasks/projects as assigned by management
• Be available for weekends on call in the event of the need to unload trailer(s)

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to learn to drive a tractor-trailer (CDL not required; only drive on company premises)
• Ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity
• Must be able to be trained as a certified jack driver
• Must have good people skills and effective communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous production/farm experience
• Previous Cargill experience
• Work history in the past 12 months
• Previous truck driver or yard driver experience
• Computer knowledge and experience
