Driver Yard

Principal Accountabilities

• Carry out aspects of yard management including jockeying trailers, fueling and cleaning trailers, cleaning dock areas, and unloading/receiving trailers
• Assist covering for other yard drivers who are out due to illness, vacation, etc.
• Perform plant rounds and assist with trailer checks
• Visually check trucks and trailers for safety
• Perform any other tasks/projects as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Aged 18 or older
• Able to learn to drive a tractor-trailer. CDL not required, only drive on company premises
• Able to work flexible hours and/or shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity
• Able to be trained as a certified jack driver
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous production/farm experience
• Previous Cargill experience
• Previous work history in the past 12 months
• Previous truck driver or yard driver experience
• Computer knowledge and experience
