Principal Accountabilities
- Carry out aspects of yard management including jockeying trailers, fueling and cleaning trailers, cleaning dock areas, and unloading/receiving trailers
- Assist covering for other yard drivers who are out due to illness, vacation, etc.
- Perform plant rounds and assist with trailer checks
- Visually check trucks and trailers for safety
- Perform any other tasks/projects as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Aged 18 or older
- Able to learn to drive a tractor-trailer. CDL not required, only drive on company premises
- Able to work flexible hours and/or shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity
- Able to be trained as a certified jack driver
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous production/farm experience
- Previous Cargill experience
- Previous work history in the past 12 months
- Previous truck driver or yard driver experience
- Computer knowledge and experience
