About the role

This position is responsible for safely operating a company vehicle to transport materials between Warsaw, IN, Blue Ash, OH, and Dayton, OH. When not performing driving duties, the role supports warehouse operations in Blue Ash, including cycle counting, material movement, and general inventory control to maintain operational accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a semi-truck or company vehicle to transport goods between:Warsaw, IN ↔ Blue Ash, OH (primary route)Blue Ash, OH ↔ Dayton, OH (as needed)
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery and pick-up of materials
  • Prepare and review delivery documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain communication with dispatchers and receiving locations regarding schedules and delivery status
  • Secure cargo and assist with loading and unloading of materials as required
  • Maintain daily inspection logs and ensure vehicle compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Adequately present the vehicle and ensure its cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
  • Perform inventory counts and basic data entry accurately
  • Investigate discrepancies and support root cause analysis
  • Support inventory tracking and materials management activities
  • Properly document and report counting results and discrepancies
  • Move materials within the facility to support production and shipping operations
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • Assist with staging, receiving, and shipping activities as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support department needs across workstations when not driving
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report issues promptly
  • Follow all company safety programs, OSHA requirements, and facility policies
  • Identify workplace hazards and take proactive steps to prevent incidents
  • Participate in safety initiatives, training, and audits
  • Adhere to all established procedures and guidelines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
  • Acceptable driving record required

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and warehouse equipment
  • Strong understanding of transportation safety and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to perform inventory counts and basic data entry accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to process standards
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities between driving and warehouse tasks

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse activities throughout the shift
  • Exposure to typical warehouse conditions including equipment operation and varying temperatures
