Driver / Warehouse Material Handler
About the role
Morley Moss is looking for a Driver/Warehouse Material Handler for our Sunnyvale, TX location. CDL license is preferred, not mandatory. This position reports to the Division Manager with dual reporting responsibilities to Department Managers.
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from the warehouse and worksites.
- Maintain real-time visibility of all serialized tools using Tool Watch or other company-provided tracking software; ensure timely delivery and retrieval of tools to/from job sites.
- Organize tools for quick access and accurate tracking; manage deliveries at the shop and verify accuracy; store deliveries in designated areas.
- Perform pre-travel inspections of vehicles used for transportation of materials and goods.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with managers and/or foremen; forklift experience is preferred.
- Lift twenty-five (25) to fifty (50) pounds regularly; occasionally lift and/or move fifty (50) pounds or more.
- Follow written and verbal instructions; receive all material and tool deliveries; fill tool requests as directed; check-in tool returns and place by in their respective areas.
- Keep the warehouse clean and orderly; maintain tool cage and outside yard for tools and equipment.
- Perform ongoing optimization and usage of Tool Watch and/or other company-provided software for tool management; check for tool requests and returns throughout the day; ensure accurate tool transfers and returns; conduct audits to verify Tool Watch data accuracy and reconcile with physical tool counts.
- Prevent lapses in tool calibration dates; ensure all information involving calibrated tools is properly documented in Tool Watch.
- Enforce accountability for tool crib performance at the shop; provide training for tool distribution, returns, and tool functionality; promote and uphold safety standards.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of serialized tools through consistent restocking and tool replacement; analyze purchasing trends to develop cost-saving strategies.
- Attend pre-construction and planning meetings to forecast project-specific tool needs; coordinate with Managers and Foremen to align tool availability with schedule demands.
- Recommend tool upgrades or alternatives based on jobsite performance or wear trends; investigate and document instances of tool loss, damage, or misuse.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 or older for insurance purposes.
- Wear work-appropriate clothing: jeans with no tears, shirt with sleeves, leather steel-toe boots at least ankle high, and other safety-required items.
- Ability to don and doff all required PPE, including head, hand, eye, and face protection.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; walk, reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves twenty-five (25) to fifty (50) pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move fifty (50) pounds or more. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color recognition, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel to remote field locations is regularly required.
Work Environment
The employee will regularly work in typical shop environment conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
