About the role
The Hybrid Warehouse Associate / CDL Driver is a cross-functional, high-impact role that blends warehouse operations with commercial driving responsibilities to ensure seamless service to our customers. This position plays a critical role in maintaining branch continuity by flexing between order fulfillment, inventory management, and delivery execution based on daily operational demands.
Responsibilities
- Execute picking, packing, staging, and shipping of customer orders with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
- Perform unloading, labeling, receiving, and put-away of inbound materials to maintain smooth warehouse flow
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory processes to ensure inventory accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in all warehouse functions
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CDL required) to deliver materials to customer locations
- Complete deliveries on time while providing a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and compliance records
- Transition seamlessly between warehouse and driving responsibilities based on operational needs
- Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and customer service teams to meet delivery and service commitments
- Contribute to improving operational efficiency and reducing delays and manual work
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
- Valid CDL Class A (or B, based on fleet) license in good standing with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling processes
- Understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and safe driving practices
- Proficiency in forklift operation and material handling equipment
- Ability to execute commercial driving routes and delivery schedules effectively
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for inventory accuracy and order fulfillment
- Ability to complete documentation and maintain compliance records accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety procedures, and delivery documentation
- Ability to quickly adapt and shift priorities based on operational demands
Qualifications
- Ability to lift between 50–90 lbs. regularly
- Ability to perform physically demanding warehouse and delivery tasks
- Ability to work in both indoor warehouse environments and outdoor conditions
- Ability to safely operate equipment and vehicles in a safety-sensitive environment
Skills & Abilities
