Driver Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for warehouse inventory and daily delivery of HVAC freight and materials. This role involves procuring, processing, dispatching, and delivering products to customers and vendors for an established wholesale HVAC distributorship.

Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of products.
• Deliver and transport HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Receive, inspect, and stock all merchandise.
• Verify received items against orders for accuracy.
• Pick and verify customer orders and prepare them for shipment.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return them to the Sales Center Manager.
• Maintain a daily checklist for truck and forklift maintenance, report in/out times, and handle merchandise returns.
• Use and maintain OF device appropriately.
• Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure the warehouse and grounds are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customer traffic.
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties and wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of verifiable experience driving a company pickup truck.
• Ability to multi-task and work within daily deadlines.
• Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide superior customer service.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 6 months of warehouse experience including forklift operation.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
