Driver Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for warehouse inventory and daily delivery of HVAC freight and materials. The role involves procuring, processing, dispatching, and delivering products to customers and vendors for an established wholesale HVAC distributorship.

Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of products.
• Deliver and transport HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Receive, inspect, and stock all merchandise.
• Verify all items received against items ordered for accuracy.
• Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Complete daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance; report in/out times and merchandise returns.
• Appropriate use and maintenance of OF device.
• Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customer traffic.
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties and wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of current, verifiable experience driving a 22’ minimum box truck or stake bed truck.
• Ability to multi-task and work within daily deadlines.
• Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 6 months warehouse experience including forklift operation.
• Preferred: Knowledge of HVAC and truckload logistics.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
