Driver's Helper

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials and products from delivery truck using hand, hand truck, forklift, and electric pallet jack.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to load materials onto trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Ensures materials are loaded securely to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Conveys materials between the truck and designated loading and delivery areas.
• Arranges products according to a prearranged plan or approved ideas by management.
• Counts and records the number of units of materials moved, broken items, and spoiled goods on appropriate sheets.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders and follow oral instructions.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Knowledge of basic material handling techniques and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail for counting and recording movements accurately.
