Driver/Operator

Position subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay

$23.31 per hour (per the applicable Union Collective Bargaining Agreement pay scale).

Responsibilities

• Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
• Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
• Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must have held a valid driver’s license for at least 5 years.
• Able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason).
• Eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Successfully obtain a DOT certification.

Physical Requirements

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions (100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations).
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
• Push and pull objects up to 300 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment stored at ground level.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
