Driver, Operations- Days (FHD)

Responsibilities
- Responsible for safely operating commercial motor vehicles (GVWR >10,000 lb. and ≤26,000 lb.) to perform local pick-up and delivery (P&D).
- Conducts warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
- Verifies shipment paperwork, weighs/dimension checks, loads/unloads (including ULDs), stages and replenishes, scans product, and documents accurately.
- Maintains a neat and orderly storage lot to maximize efficiency in servicing customer needs.
- Operates power industrial trucks for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise.
- Performs order filler and checker duties in addition to one's own responsibilities.
- Ensures professional customer interaction during pick-up and delivery, protecting freight integrity and security.
- Uses proper Airline/Electrical hookup and backing procedures.
- Fulfills all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Receiving/Put-Away
- Loads outbound shipments using gas or electric forklifts/MHE, efficiently stacking and storing products in appropriate areas.
- Maintains an organized work area.
Order Picking
- Pulls and prepares for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Performs picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
- Prepares freight for operations accurately and promptly.
Quality
- Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Reports quality variances.
Delivery
- Efficiently moves product from staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks.
- Accompanies freight with proper documentation.
Inventory
- Keeps appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
- Assists in physical inventories and ensures proper stock rotation.
Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance
- Maintains a clean, neat, orderly work area and assists in warehouse security.
- Complies with Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
- Participates in safety meetings.
Equipment Operation
- Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, and stages product and materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, drum attachments, or other power equipment.
- Maintains the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Inspects and performs minor maintenance on forklifts or other equipment daily.
- Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Maintains an active forklift certification.
Maintenance
- Performs or assists in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
Other Duties
- Changes fuel tanks on forklifts as needed; participates in physical inventories; performs labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Repairs pallets, when necessary, trailers, and truck bays as requested.
- Maintains the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Works overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
- Able to operate MHE.
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass federal/state/local background checks, clearances, and drug/alcohol tests (e.g., airport or TSA as applicable).
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Basic computer skills.
- RF Scanners.
- WMS functions.
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Basic to intermediate level math skills for verifying quantities of product, counting inventory, or performing other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work as assigned outside and in a warehouse environment.
- Clean driving record.
- CDL or prior tractor yard experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
- 1-2 years forklift experience.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally: Handling/Fingering, Sitting.
- Frequently: Bending.
- Constantly: Walking and Standing.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull: 21-50 pounds.
- Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
Work Environment
The work environment is usually low to moderate noise level, and exposure to unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.

Base Pay Rate
The expected base pay rate for this position is $24.19 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
