Driver/Nutrition Specialist

About the role

Join a mission-driven team providing nutritious meals and supportive services to older adults in our community. The Driver/Nutrition Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring meals are delivered safely, respectfully, and on time.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver meals to community dining sites
• Load and unload meal carriers and supplies
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and temperature records
• Operate and inspect assigned vehicles
• Support food prep, sanitation, inventory, and site operations
• Provide friendly, respectful service to participants and volunteers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
• Reliable, safety-focused, and independent worker
• Food service or delivery experience preferred
• ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• One or more months of transportation experience preferred
• Experience working with Senior Citizens preferred
• Experience handling money, such as donations, is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills
• Strong computer skills including use of web browsers and the internet
• Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Physical demands: standing, walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and maneuvering wheelchairs carrying up to 300 lbs, driving light/medium/heavy duty vehicles, some work outside and may be exposed to inclement weather

Pay

$18.66 - $19.05 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Full-Time (40 hours/week) and Part-Time (20+ hours/week) options available. No nights or weekends, day shift only.
